Come out of the shadow: the AUC calls municipalities to join the unreported employment counteraction

On July, 1, 2021 the inspection campaign «Come out of the shadow», aimed at defining unreported labour relations, started in Ukraine. The campaign is conducted annually by the State Labour Service of Ukraine, involving government agencies and local self-government bodies, for the purpose of fighting unreported employment.

The Association of Ukrainian Cities urged local self-government bodies to improve:

  • Informing business entities and employees on the impermissibility of using unreported employment;
  • The powers, defined by subclause 5 of clause A of Part 1 of Article 34 of the Law of Ukraine On the Local Self-Government in Ukraine.
