How hromadas counteract the pandemic – a new selection by the AUC

Ukrainian hromadas – cities, settlements and villages - are getting involved in the coronavirus spread counteraction. Alongside with the quarantine measures introduction, the local self-government allocates money for the medical staff salary increase, purchases protective masks, tests and equipment, organises medical staff transfer to work, delivers food to the elderly and vulnerable strata of the population. The Association of Ukrainian Cities monitors hromadas’ experience of counteracting the coronavirus disease spread. This time the selection covers the city of Mariupol, the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Volyn regions.
