‘The COVID-19 emergency makes it necessary to accumulate human and administrative resources. It is a real pleasure to read about the Dnipropetrovsk region AHs initiating social projects of assistance. It is not just the authorities’ initiative to consolidate the hromada residents for the purpose of assisting the vulnerable during the quarantine, it is the proof of the AH capability and self-organisation level. Such examples testify to the art of living within a hromada as the local authorities capability to help each resident feel protected under any conditions’, comments Olena Tertyshna, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional office of the U-LEAD with Europe programme.
Hromadas and starosta districts establish mobile assistance headquarters, organise free delivery of necessary food, medicines, personal care products and other vital goods to the hromada inhabitants.
