Velykohaivska hromada claims to have started transformations in healthcare “not from zero, but from the sub-zero level”

To address the concerns of people who predicted the closure of outpatient clinics and rural health posts in villages, participants of the DESPRO project and the “Decentralisation” portal visited one of the “closed” village outpatient clinics located in an amalgamated hromada. Indeed, decentralisation has eliminated rural healthcare that could only offer to buy a bottle of brilliant green or to receive assistance from a tired village doctor. Instead of that, local residents have received a modern and fully equipped outpatient clinic run by family doctors who do not claim to be underpaid.

Let us get acquainted with a rural outpatient clinic in the Velykohaivska AH. Its value is amalgamation into a capable hromada and readiness to be responsible for the decisions made. Its financing is UAH 5 million - sum from the State Fund for Regional Development; UAH 6 million - funds from the hromada budget. And bringing order into the medical sphere of the hromada was started "not from zero, but from the sub-zero level."
