Government supported another 55 projects for UAH 186 million to be financed from SFRD

The Government approved 55 regional development projects to be financed by the State Fund for Regional Development in 2018 for a total amount of more than UAH 186 million, informed Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.

“These SFRD funds will be directed to the construction of kindergartens, schools, healthcare facilities, development of sports infrastructure, restoration of bridge and road infrastructure, water supply and sewage facilities, thermo-modernisation, etc. in the regions. The vast majority of projects will be completed in 2018,” said Hennadii Zubko.

At the expense of the SFRD, 14 educational institutions (secondary schools, kindergartens), 4 healthcare and social protection facilities, 19 sports facilities, 4 road transport infrastructure facilities, 3 cultural institution and more will be implemented in the regions.

The resolution on SFRD’s funding includes projects submitted for consideration by the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lugansk, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv Oblast and Kyiv City State Administrations.

It should be mentioned that the total SFRD’s funding for 2018 is UAH 6 billion. Earlier this year, the Government has already approved 755 investment programmes and regional development projects to be fiannced by the SFRD in 2018 for a total of UAH 5.8 billion.

It is also known that MinRegion has improved the approaches to the preparation, evaluation and selection of investment programmes and regional development projects, which are implemented at the expense of the State Fund for Regional Development: the minimum cost of construction project is UAH 5 million, of other projects – UAH 1 million.
