During 6 months of 2019, the revenues of the general fund of local budgets of Ukraine increased by +UAH 21.1 billion (+19.6%) compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to UAH 128.8 billion. This was informed by Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, on his FB page.
In particular, personal income tax amounted to UAH 77.2 billion, which is +UAH 13.9 billion (or +22.0%) more than the revenue for the corresponding period of last year.
Payments for land made up UAH 15.6 billion (or +23.4%).
The actual single tax inflow amounted to UAH 16.2 billion (+22.8%).
Actual income tax on real estate made up UAH 2.1 billion, with revenue growth +32.3%.
In his speech at Ukraine Reform Conference in Canada, the Vice Prime Minister stated that the decentralisation success should include the annual growth of local budgets. “During 2014 – 2019 they increased fourfold, to almost UAH 240 billion. This is a tremendous amount of money that local budgets have received over almost 5 years of the reform. This is a true decentralisation. This is a breakthrough in countering corruption,” he stressed.
