The Vasilivka village council of the Bolhrad Rayon made a decision to grant consent to amalgamation and sent proposals to adjacent hromadas, where public discussions began, as reports the Odesa Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.

The village of Vasylivka is indicated in the List of Recommended Perspective Administrative Centres of Capable Hromadas, defined by MinRegion of Ukraine in accordance with the Methodology for the Formation of Capable Hromadas.
