Amalgamated hromadas in mountainous areas can and should use tourism for their own development. Comfortable conditions for the guests and nature will help to promote hromadas and fill their budgets, emphasised Yanina Kazyuk, financial decentralisation coordinator of the Central Reform Office, at the seminar "Effective Hromada Budget – Guarantee of Financial Capacity" held at the Ivano-Frankivsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, reports Ukrinform.
During 12-13 April 2018, the experts conducted a working trip to Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and the Biloberizka AH, where they got acquainted with the state of implementation of local budgets and network of budgetary institutions and establishments, studied the existing problems in terms of filling the revenue part and financial support for AH spending powers.
Yanina Kazyuk noted that amalgamated hromadas of four oblasts of Ukraine have currently the status of the mountainous areas, and that "the Government pays great attention to the elaboration of measures for the development of these territories, taking into account the Carpathian and Alpine strategies."
