Last autumn, on the initiative of the Poltava Local Government Development Centre, a memorandum of joint action was signed with local organisations interested in the decentralisation process.
Prior to the signing of the document, the Poltava LGDC, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, had invited the Ukrainian Association of Village and Settlement Councils and Poltava Oblast Centre of Retraining and Advanced Training. According to the initiators’ idea, the synergy of efforts of experienced theorists and current promising practitioners will yield tangible results. Thus, in February 2018, the authorised representatives of these organisations adopted a joint action plan for 2018 at a round table meeting.
