Implementing the Association Agreement with the EU, Ukraine has committed to streamline the handling of all types of waste in accordance with the European principles within the next 5-6 years.
From 1 January 2018, in accordance with Article 32 of the Law of Ukraine “On Waste”, in order to restrict and prevent the negative impact of waste on the environment and human health, the burial of untreated household waste has been prohibited.
