Amalgamated hromadas should elect leaders capable to generate and implement territorial development decisions: develop infrastructure, production and investment potential, constantly study the opinions of people living in the hromada, and listen to the needs of the population, commented Vyacheslav Nehoda, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services, sharing with journalists his opinion on the first local elections to be held in 51 AH on 24 December.
Information on how hromada residents can make a reasonable choice, is available here: Local elections. Attention – populism!
According to him, the experience of amalgamated hromadas already working in the new conditions confirms that it is hromada leader who is able to properly manage the territory on the ground and unite people around the definition and achievement of a common goal.
“Who is a modern leader of amalgamated hromada? The one who relies on people’s opinion, determines the strategy of hromada development in cooperation with them, does not deviate from hromada priority directions and is a result-oriented person. Such work requires 24 hour efforts and time. After all, the essence of communities’ amalgamation is to build a comfortable living space on the territories. And it is a common responsibility of local authorities and hromada. Voters’ responsibility should not end with the voting day. They should become active participants in the development and implementation of decisions important for the hromada,” noted Vyacheslav Nehoda.
He urged hromada residents to come to the polling stations on 24 December and vote for the development and prosperity.
