Iryna Starenka, Head of the Bila Tserkva District Military Administration, held an official meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Latvia. The meeting focused on a new stage of cooperation that will foster the development of rural communities and strengthen interregional ties.
During the meeting, the Bila Tserkva District State (Military) Administration and the Latvian Farm Management Board signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This document establishes the basis for the exchange of experience in agricultural development and the implementation of social initiatives, as well as the attraction of investment in the communities of the district.
Recognising the importance of the partnership, the Latvian party handed over humanitarian aid to the Bila Tserkva district in the form of buses, which will be used to implement social projects within the communities. This will improve mobility for residents, particularly in remote areas.
During the meeting, a symbolic event took place in which representatives of the Latvian delegation planted trees in the Alley of Heroes, located in the park near the building of the district administration. This gesture pays tribute to the memory of the Ukrainian soldiers who lost their lives defending their country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The partnership with Latvia is about more than just international solidarity; it is also about taking real steps to restore and develop communities, and improve the quality of life for residents in the Bila Tserkva district. This partnership creates new opportunities to implement innovative solutions in agriculture and the social sector, which is particularly important during the period of post-war reconstruction.
