Decentralisation and gender equality: UN Women are preparing research to be published

Outcomes of the report «Analysis of decentralization in Ukraine from the point of view of gender equality and the human rights approach» have been presented in Ukraine. The event occurred within the project «Promoting gender equality and extending women’s rights and opportunities within the decentralization reform in Ukraine», funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada.

The research has been done by the public organization «The centre for public initiatives "Intelligence of the Sumy oblast" with support of UN Women and the UNO Monitoring Mission on Human Rights, in partnership with the key stakeholders.

The report to be soon publicized at the site of UN Women records and analyzes the challenges to be taken into account while fulfilling decentralization to consider women and men’s differentiated needs, particularly, the vulnerable ones.
