The MinRegion has registered an agreement on intermunicipal cooperation with the Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi oblasts. 33 municipalities have united to fulfil the DNISTER CANYON joint project for the purpose of developing the tourist potential. It was claimed by the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov while registering the agreement with the head of each of the four municipalities.

«The Dnister Canyon has been recognized to be a wonder of Ukraine. Unfortunately, there are some problems on its territories — an out-of-date or absent tourist infrastructure, the improper condition of the environment, etc. I am really happy that 33 municipalities have exercised initiative in developing the project to revive the spirits of the unique location. The project is in the high light of the Government and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, in particular. To be honest, we lack such quality tourist projects from municipalities. I hope this example will inspire other regions to find their uniqueness and start implementing initiatives.
