The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Public Authorities, Local Self-Government, Regional and Urban Development suggests that the draft of Law On Amending the Law of Ukraine On Local State Administrations and some Other Statutes of Ukraine on Reforming the Government Agencies Territorial Arrangement in Ukraine №4298 should be publicly discussed.

The bill creates legal preconditions for prefecture-like local state administrations to function prior to amending the Constitution of Ukraine (in terms of decentralisation). The bill also harmonises the legislation with the current challenges.
