Decentralisation has changed the system of educational services provision and will lead to their quality improvement, - Vyacheslav Nehoda

Since January, 1, 2021, the territorial arrangement system having been changed at the hromada and rayon level, the education management system has also been altered. Now funding preschool, school and out of school education establishments is the hromada exclusive competence, with rayon state administrations and rayon councils having lost the authorities. Thus, the state task has changed from direct educational establishment management to coordination, methodological assistance, services quality control in accordance with licenses and standards, envisaged by the Ministry and enshrined in law. The changes are sure to lead to the education quality improvement, first of all – in rural areas.

It was highlighted by Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, during the Partners’ forum «2021 Education of Ukraine: Strategic Aims and Priorities», having taken place, involving the President of Ukraine, Government and Parliament representatives.
