A new wording of the law on local state administrations - infographics

On Tuesday, October, 6, the decentralization implementation working group, established by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the state power organization, local self-government, regional and urban development will consider a new wording of the law of Ukraine On Local State Administrations.

«Among our major propositions, presented in the bill, there are the following: differentiation of powers of Oblast State Administrations and Rayon State Administrations, new approaches to the structure of local state administrations. We expect that subdivisions of state administrations will be formed in three directions. The first one is performing delegated authorities of rayon and oblast councils. Of course, it contradicts the European practice but before amending the Constitution we, unfortunately, are unable to implement another pattern. The second direction is coordination of the Central Executive Power Bodies territorial divisions’ activity. The third one is ensuring legitimacy», - commented Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
