The MinRegion has sent the draft of the future rayons configuration – rayons number and structure within each region of Ukraine – to be agreed upon by the executive power central bodies, regional state administrations and local self-government associations.

According to the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, future rayons maps have been prepared on the basis of propositions by the regional state administrations and long-term consultations with associations and the expert environment. It is just the first project document, which is to undergo changes during arrangements and preliminary discussions at the Governmental level before it will be approved.
