COVID-19 and the quarantine repercussions are likely to be changing life of the local self-government in Ukraine, with some of the changes being short-term, others – long-term. The coronavirus situation is sure to have become a real challenge for Ukrainian hromadas. Moreover, the local self-government is bearing the greatest burden of counteracting the pandemic consequences.
What has changed: the business activity, unemployment and remittance workers return, utility services payment, public activity in society, etc? All the above mentioned issues were studied with the help of the local self-government survey by the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) and AH Association.
