A cozy bakery and greenhouses: women develop their own business at the expense of the EU in the Lviv region

In the Lviv region people are developing a tourist infrastructure, sponsored by the European Union. 14 villages of Novomiska AH obtained a grant in the amount of almost 1 million EUR for the purpose of economic development. They created their own brand – Cowboyky – for the money.

In the village of Deshychi a school of baking master classes was founded, weekly teaching tens of kids to bake bread and cakes.

In the neighbouring village of Nove Misto green house tunnels were built where it is planned to grow Italian grades of strawberries and garden-staff.

The Cowboyky project is being fulfilled within the Mayors for Economical Growth initiative, having started in 2018. Enterprises, established thanks to the grant, will make it possible to employ at least 50 inhabitants, women comprising a third of them.
