Implementation of the projects-winners of the all-Ukrainian Public Budget competition at the expense of the SFRD will start in Ukraine in 2019. UAH 500 million are foreseen for these purposes in the current year.

It was informed by Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, in his comment on the Governmental decision to determine the mechanism for selection and evaluation of the winning projects of the all-Ukrainian budget to be funded at the expense of the SFRD.

“The winning projects of the sll-Ukrainian Public Budget competition are start-ups that will be implemented in hromadas at the expense of co-financing from the SFRD and local budgets im the amount of 10%. The projects will be selected on a competitive basis and will focus on implementing oblast, interoblast development strategies as well as within the framework of the EU sectoral support,” said Hennadii Zubko.

The good news is that now hromada residents can join the development and implementation of important and priority projects – since investment programmes can be requested by local self-governments, regional development agencies, scientific institutions, NGOs, and MPs.

The projects should comply with the State Strategy for Regional Development for the period up to 2020 and relevant regional development strategies.
