Mezhivska AH: UAH 30 million allotted for village school thanks to decentralisation
The school in the urban settlement of Mezhova was opened more than 45 years ago. In this time, it has never been repaired yet. Since 2017, this school has a hub status. Thanks to decentralisation, the Mezhivska AH has received a subsidy from the state budget and spent it to overhaul the school. Journalists could have a look at the refurbished school of the new format during a press tour to the Mezhivska hromada which had been organized by the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme.
The repair started in May 2017, all inside works have already been completed. Still under way is the insulation of the front side of the school as well as the construction of the sport area. The costs of the repair are equal to UAH 30 million, further UAH 12 million are scheduled to complete all works.
