Since the beginning of the year, the Zhytomyr Local Government Development Centre, together with the Zhytomyr Tourist Association, Department of Culture and Tourism of the Zhytomyr Oblast State Administration, and with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, has conducted a series of seminars and trainings on the development of tourism products in AHs and ways of their promotion, tourist inventory potential, determining the need for modern infrastructure of its formation, and tourist routes’ marking.

“The hromada tourism potential is large, but this is not enough to make it profitable. Monetisation will come when we develop the tourist routes and make them as comfortable and interesting as possible. To do this, we need such training,” emphasised Oksana Levkivska, head of the department of local economic development and investment attraction of the Ovrutska AH.

The Fair of Tourism Offers of the Zhytomyr Oblast will be held already on 6 August in the premises of the Zhytomyr LGDC.

The work done by hromadas and experts requires significant informational support, as hromadas undergo significant changes in this area, which have a positive effect on the quality of services and content for the tourist.
