A perspective Shvaykivska AH will amalgamate the Myroslavka, Rayky, Slobodyshche and Shvaykivka village councils of the Berdychiv Rayon of the Zhytomyr Oblast. On 16 July public hearings were held at the Skrahlivka village council, where the village community did not support the draft decision on the AH establishment.

“Shvaykivka invited four neighbouring village councils to establish a hromada, and everyone except for Skrahlivka supported this initiative. Thus, the perspective AH will have the population of 4.2 thousand people,” said Vasyl Nevmerzhytskyi, director of the Zhytomyr Local Government Development Centre.

The next step in the process of the AH formation is to get the OSA’s conclusion and make a final decision on hromada establishment at sessions of the village councils.
