Roman Storozhenko, head of the Department for Strategic Development and Monitoring of the Quality of Healthcare of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration, and Olena Tertyshna, director of the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, told about the changes in the work of healthcare institutions in amalgamated hromadas in the course of the healthcare reform at a joint press conference.
“The funding of services that will be provided within the local self-government bodies as part of the requirements of the new legislation will start from 1 July. Though the campaign for ascribing citizens to doctors for declarations’ signing starts on 1 April. In order for this campaign to succeed and be beneficial for the residents, local self-government bodies and amalgamated hromadas it is necessary to initiate a “Health Fair”. This “Health Fair” should take place in AHs in March 2018 in order to successfully complete the first part of the adscript campaign in the first period of its launch,” said Olena Tertyshna.
