Participants of “Million-Hryvnia Hromada” project on 1+1 TV channel designed unique travel tours around Ukraine

On Sunday, 25 February, at 10.05, the viewers of the 1+1 TV channel will watch the new issue of the social, business and entertainment project “Million-Hryvnia Hromada”, created jointly with the United States Agency for International Development “Decentralisation Offering Better Results and Efficiency” (DOBRE) Programme. For the first time the process of decentralisation of power in Ukraine can be observed in the format of the reality show on the Ukrainian television.

Only four amalgamated hromadas remained in the project after the previous challenges, and will compete for the main prize – UAH 1 million from the WHISEF fund.

In the new issue, the Novopskovska, Buzka, Knyahynynivska and Pechenizhynska AHs will get a new assignment from investors and programme presenters Iryna Ozymok and Dmytro Ohnyov. Hromadas will need to develop a weekend travel tour that can attract tourists to their region. The task is complicated by the fact that the tour will be evaluated by the representatives of hromadas-competitors with their own money. The size of remuneration of the entertainment programme organisers will depend on how much the the tour appeals to the tourists. The AH, which receives the least amount of money, will leave the project.
