Raising salaries of educators: experts told about changes made by Government

The Government portal published resolutions that provide for increase in educators’ salaries.

Experts of the Financial Monitoring Group of the Central Reform Office under MinRegion (with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and SKL International project) Yanina Kazyuk, financial decentralisation coordinator, and Svitlana Demydenko, financial monitoring expert, told about the main changes envisaged by these legal acts.

Starting from 1 January 2018, the amounts of salaries (salary rates) of educators, paid at the expense of educational subvention from the state budget to local budgets, are increased by 10%.

It is envisaged that following the results of the State Budget implementation over the first half of 2018, the issue of salary increase for other categories of educators, scientific and teaching employees from 1 September 2018 will be considered.
