A seminar “Strategic Planning for Local Development” was held on December 12 in the town of Berezivtsi, which is the centre of the recently formed amalgamated hromada, on the initiative of the Odesa Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine.
The seminar devoted to the development of a strategic plan for hromada development was attended by AH and rayon council deputies, businessmen, urban and rural intellectuals, and hromada activists.
According to Viktor Bondaruk, regional development adviser of the Odesa LGDC, the Berezivska AH will work on the strategic plan development for about six months. This is exactly the time it takes to develop the main directions of implementation of the ideas in hromadas, as evidenced by the experience of three AHs, that were actively working on strategies supported by the Odesa LGDC. While in the Tuzlivska, Konoplyanska and Velykomykhaylivska hromadas the strategy development process has reached the finish line, the Berezivska AH is just starting this way.
