Eventful last week of November, which started with a large-scale regional forum “3D: Decentralisation – Dnipropetrovsk Oblast – Deeds”, finished with another important event. The Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe programme, found new partners, namely the Dnipro Development Agency.

“Decentralisation, which is currently being actively implemented throughout the country, to a greater extent covers villages, rural settlements and small towns, that become independent and financially capable. Thus, in this case, cities are actually “cut off” from the rest of the territories, they have nowhere to develop or to place business. Therefore, today it is necessary to think how urban hromadas can compile their long-term plans and cooperate with the surrounding territories. It is good that the Dnipro Development Agency is aware of these problems and is already looking for solutions,” said Olena Tertyshna, director of the Centre.

Oleksiy Samovalov, deputy director of the Investment Attraction Agency, and Olena Tertyshna discussed the prospects of cooperation and joint actions for the nearest future.
