The changes in the structure of the Government do not mean a pause in Ukraine’s cooperation with its international partners. All projects and agreements in areas falling within the competence of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine are ongoing.

Vitalii Bezgin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, informed about this.

According to the Minister, this concerns, in particular, regional development, multi-level governance, support for communities, housing policy and housing for IDPs, including under the eVidnovlennya programme, construction and planning, municipal infrastructure, energy efficiency, accessibility, international territorial cooperation and other areas within the mandate of the Ministry.

‘All projects and agreements in the areas that now fall within the competence of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine are ongoing. We take responsibility for their implementation and outcomes,’ emphasised Vitalii Bezgin.

The Ministry has a substantial portfolio of cooperation with the governments of other countries, international financial institutions, development agencies, the United Nations system, the European Union, and international technical assistance projects.

The Ministry is currently reviewing this portfolio in detail: defining what works, where priorities need to be adjusted, which issues require action from the Ministry, and which new joint projects could be launched.

The Minister also stated that the Ministry encourages international partners to jointly develop a new portfolio of projects that meet the needs of community residents who are currently most in need of support.
