On February, 15, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada passed in its second reading and as a whole bill On the Drink Water of Ukraine State Target Programme for 2022-2026. Developed by the MinRegion, the document is aimed at updating the municipality water supply system. It was claimed by Minister of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov.
«The passed bill is extremely important as there are still towns in Ukraine lacking regular quality drink water supply. The document provides the legislative basis for the Drink Water of Ukraine state programme and ensures sustainable development and reconstruction of centralized water supply and drain in municipalities. 2022 State Budget envisages the programme funding for the amount of UAH 1 billion. I am grateful to people’s deputies for supporting this important document and to all those having been working over its development, in particular, to the line committee of the Verkhovna Rada» – emphasized Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov.
