On December, 29, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine gave qualified approval of draft Law of Ukraine On Service in Self-Government Bodies (a new wording). It was prepared by the National Agency of Ukraine on Public Service to establish new legislative and organizational pillars of local self-government service as a professional and politically unbiased activity.

It is necessary to adopt the suggested amendments due to the necessity of harmonizing the legislation on local self-government bodies service with the incumbent Law of Ukraine On Public Service. The bill development is envisaged by the 2021 Plan of Law-Drafting Activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the 2021 Government Priority Plan.
