Passing a new legislative basis for the local executive bodies activity – oblast and rayon state administrations – is on the decentralisation agenda.

Almost three weeks ago the Committee on the State Power Organisation, Local Self-Government, Regional and Urban Development recommended the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopting in the second reading draft law of Ukraine on amending the Law of Ukraine On Local State Administrations and some other regulations of Ukraine on reforming the territorial arrangement of executive authorities of Ukraine (registration № 4298).
