On August, 01, 2021, Law of Ukraine On Amending some Regulations of Ukraine on Starosta Institute Development of 14.07.2021 №1638-ІХ came into force. Eventually the added to the list of municipality council competences concerning starosta districts establishment, Provisions on the Starosta approval, starosta nomination and dismissal, as well as the starosta legal status constituents and its nomination procedure changes (clauses 6-1 of part 1 of article 26 and article 54-1 of Law of Ukraine On Local Self-Government in Ukraine.
