Volodymyr Martynenko, a counselor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, explained the Suspilne Novyny how hromada police officers, changing local police inspectors in Ukraine, will work, who will control their functioning and pay for it.

“A hromada police officer will not only be on the territory of the hromada but live and permanently work there, communicating with the hromada. A hromada police officer will prevent offences in the hromada and investigate misdemeanors, demanding no investigative forces involvement", — he claimed.
