Local elections to be held on October, 25, 2020 – a resolution draft is ready for voting in the parliament

On July, 9 the Parliamentary Committee on the State Power, Local Self-Government Organisation, Regional and Urban Development recommended the Verkhovna Rada to adopt resolution 3809 on appointing regular local elections on October, 25, 2020.

According to the resolution draft, regular elections of deputies of regional councils, of the City of Kyiv, district councils in cities and Kyiv mayor shall be appointed on Sunday, October, 25, 2020. Regular elections will not be held on the temporary occupied territories of the Crimea, the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The regular elections will be funded from the state budget.
