For the last several weeks the line committee of the Verkhovna Rada, the Min Region, regional state administrations and experts have been actively discussing the future of the sub-regional level of our state – a new configuration of rayons.
There is no need clarifying the reduction of the demand concerning a 60-km availability area for mountain and other territories where the infrastructure is almost absent and connections between populated places and the rayon centre may be complicated.
Territories inhabiting much more or much less than 150 thousands of permanent residents cause most discussions.
According to the majority of the discussion participants, a separate rayon can be created there, provided all other demands and feasibility in terms of logistics have been satisfied.
