Consultation on perspective plans: oblasts and hromadas must think decades ahead

Consulting has been held regarding perspective plans of amalgamated hromadas of Khmelnytsk, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Zhytomyr oblasts, with proposals developed by interdepartmental working groups on the preparation of long-term plans for would-be hromada configurations as a key topic.

Consultations have been held under the co-chairmanship of Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, and Vitalii Bezghin, Chairman of the Administrative Territorial Management Subcommittee.

'Oblasts and hromadas must think for decades ahead. Today's administrative territorial management has existed for about 60 years and has long been outdated. So, we have to establish a new type of management allowing hromadas to enjoy growth prospects without necessity for redesigning in a year or two,' Deputy Minister said.
