Over the next few years, the Chernivtsi Oblast plans to implement 56 projects for the development of mountainous settlements with a total cost of UAH 950 million, including within the framework of the State Programme for the Development of the Ukrainian Carpathian Region for 2020-2022.

This was revealed during a roundtable discussion on the prospects for the development of mountainous territories of the Ukrainian Carpathians, held recently in Chernivtsi. The event was organised by the Ukrainian Association of Rayon and Oblast Councils within the framework of the activity of the Resource Centre for Sustainable Local Development.
