The Stepanetska amalgamated hromada, in Kaniv Rayon, pays one-time additional assistance to parents with a newborn child. Funds are paid from hromada’s local budget. According to Oleksandr Yaremenko, head of the Stepanetska AH, deputies made changes to the social protection programme in April.

According to Oleksandr Yaremenko, in course of three months after introduction of changes to the comprehensive social protection programme "Care", three families have already received assistance.
