Today 78 amalgamated hromadas in 13 oblasts are having their first elections of local heads and deputies! This is a new reference point for hromadas that have new development opportunities, said Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.
"It is the Russian military aggression that hindered the first elections in hromadas of those oblasts, where the martial law was introduced. Hromadas’ amalgamation and aspiration of people to build a successful future cannot be stopped! And in this way we should not be disturbed by those crying “zrada”, who want to undermine the trust in the reform. We have to be concerned only by the impudent actions of the Russian aggressor that have already influenced the course of the electoral process in the hromadas. Therefore, it’s time to elect new leaders and managers ready to change lives for better on their territories with sincere desire to succeed,” he said.
Today, elections take place in 13 obasts of Ukraine in 9 urban, 16 settlement and 53 rural AHs.
