The Government annually increases state support for hromada development and infrastructure improvement. This year it reaches over UAH 37.8 billion. These funds were directed in the first place to repair schools and kindergartens, hospitals, construction of boiler-houses and sports grounds, as well as to healthcare development in rural areas, support of farmers in the regions, energy efficiency.
This year dozens of socially important projects are being financed by the Government in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In particular, in 2018, the Government has allocated funds for the reconstruction of a single communal stadium in Melitopol named after Oleksandr Oleksenko, for the overhaul of the Melitopol Specialised School of I-III degrees No.23, for the reconstruction of the “Teatralnyi” mini-park, construction of the surgical building of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Clinical Children's Hospital, as well as for major repairs, thermo-modernisation and insulation of its inpatient and outpatient buildings, for the completion of the reconstruction of a kindergarten in the urban-type settlement of Malokaterynivka in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, major repairs of the building of the Vesele Rayon Multi-Specialisation Gymnasium, overhaul of the outpatient and inpatient departments of the Oblast Medical Centre for Cardiovascular Diseases, reconstruction (thermomodernisation) of the “Prestige” school-gymnasium in Balabyno, renovation of the swimming pool of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast School of High Sports Mastery and dozens of other projects.

Almost 700 Zaporizhzhia residents received medical care due to the new angiograph, installed in the Oblast Medical Centre for Cardiovascular Diseases since February this year. The angiograph was purchased within the framework of a Governmental programme to expand the network of cardiologists under conditions of co-financing with the local budget.

This year the Government is financing repairs of more than 3 500 km of Ukrainian roads. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has repeatedly stated that high-quality repair of Ukrainian roads is one of the Government’s priorities. For 10 years, construction, overhaul and reconstruction of roads were almost non-existent in the country. Starting from 2016, the financing of the road sector has been increased year by year. "This is part of our strategy implementation: to connect all oblast centres of Ukraine in five years. I emphasise: Ukrainians have the right to ride and will eventually ride along good roads,” said Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
In total, this year the state has allocated nearly UAH 743 million to renovate 40.5 km of roads in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The task set by the Government is to connect all oblast centres with high-quality roads in five years.
