On 22 November the Cherkasy Oblast Council approved the Perspective Plan for the formation of capable hromadas of the Cherkasy Oblast covering the entire territory of the region.

“Adoption of this document will enable accession of villages to cities of oblast significance, and most importantly – enable the villages that joined the existing AHs to finally hold their elections. The peculiarity of this plan is that it covers all the settlements, while the previous versions of changes concerned only part of the hromadas,” notes Serhii Honchar, decentralisation adviser of the Cherkasy Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
