For many years, libraries have been information and knowledge centres in cities and villages. Modern technology has shifted emphasis, and the usual libraries appeared on the edge of extinction. But some hromadas found a way out andturned libraries into cultural centres, which fully meet the current information needs of visitors.
Libraries in hromadas perform different functions: they become centres to exchange of ideas, conduct trainings and meetings. The modern library is not only an opportunity for the intellectual and cultural development of the hromada, but also a platform that brings together active and indifferent people, helping them to create joint projects.
Details of what the library provides hromada with can be found in the manual “Smart investments. Social and economic value of libraries”.
