Ivano-Frankivsk is negotiating with 14 hromadas on amalgamation. The absence of borders with settlements is a major problem for AH formation, said Ruslan Martsinkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk City Mayor, at the Job Market Fair for AHs in Ivano-Frankivsk, responding to Ukrinform's correspondent's question regarding the prospects of the Ivano-Frankivska AH.
“This is a difficult question. Today we are negotiating amalgamation issue with 14 hromadas, and addressed them with relevant letters. Meetings and talks are ongoing. The main problem is that in the Perspective Plan the city does not have borders with all the settlements. In addition, the issue regarding the villages that belong to Ivano-Frankivsk have not been resolved at the legislative level. For example, the village of Pidpechary is ready to amalgamate with Ivano-Frankivsk, but we have no borders with this village, because there are also Uhornyky and Mykytyntsi,” said Mr Martsinkiv.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor called “high price for land and property of rural hromadas” as another problem for AH formation around Ivano-Frankivsk.
