The Mykolayivska amalgamated hromada of the Petropavlivka Rayon of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, conducted bicycle tour “Cycling unites the hromada”. It started in the AH centre, in Mykolayivka, the route went through the villages of Dmytrivka, Maryina Roshcha, Katerynivka, Petrivka. In each locality guests learned about interesting historical facts, mystical stories, tasted peculiar food and drinks, as well as got acquainted with local traditions.
The hromada held the event due to its victory in the European Mobility Week competition and a grant of UAH 60 thousand. The Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, help the AH to prepare a project and win.
“Last time, we raised the flag at the highest point of our hromada, today we are opening our coat of arms here. And it is a great victory for us that so many people have gathered today for a second time, that is everyone liked the initiative. Today we have visited three villages of the Mykolayivska AH, where the guests were sincerely welcomed. All participants are happy, emotional, enthusiastic and ready to meet again,” said Svitlana Harnadko, starosta from the Petrivka Starosta District of the Mykolayivska AH.
Olena Bulakh, representative of the National Registry of Records of Ukraine, announced that the organisers of the event set a new record for the country:
“The metal coat of arms is 4 metres 65 centimetres high and 3 metres 40 centimeters wide. I would like to solemnly declare that this is the largest metal coat of arms in Ukraine. You are the very first and you entered the history,” said Olena Bulakh.
