The project “Capacity building of emergency service in Ukraine”, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, summed up the results of the competition, which involved 17 AHs of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The Mykhailivska AH of the Vilnyansk Rayon won the competition and will receive a fire truck. Besides, the hromada will be provided with illuminating mobile installation that can be used as a generator and as a lighting installation, a set of hydraulic rescue equipment, fire and rescue tools, as well as sets of overalls and equipment.

A joint Safety Centre was set up in the Mykhaylivska AH at the local budget expense.

The second place in the competition was held by the Berestivska AH, that will receive hand fire nozzle, fire hoses, portable floating motor pump, portable lighting system, fire and rescue tools, sets of protective clothing and equipment.

Th project offers advanced training to these two hromadas in order to improve theur qualifications.

Another six AHs of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast will get protective clothing for the local fire brigades as winners of the GIZ competition, but, subject to the conclusion of a contract on personnel training with the Chief Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
