Deputies of the Zhytomyr City Council supported the decision on accession of the Veresy village council to the city. The deputies of the city council voted for this decision unanimously, thus opening the way to the formation of the Zhytomyrska urban AH.

“This is a historic decision, since Zhytomyr is the first oblast centre in Ukraine to pass from the process of discussion to amalgamation with the surrounding hromadas. I was present at the hearings and sessions of the Veresy village council, where this decision was also unanimously supported,” said Serhiy Sukhomlyn, Zhytomyr City Mayor.
