Impact of decentralisation on economic revival of Donbas

Does decentralisation contribute to the economic development of Donbas? The answers to this question were discussed during the live broadcast of the UA Donbass TV channel in the "Donbas.LIVE" studio.

The guests at the studio included Maksym Tkach, decentralisation adviser of the Donetsk Local Government Development Centre, and Roman Vlasenko, deputy director of the Luhansk Regional Development Agency. Serhiy Ivankin, local finance adviser of the Donetsk LGDC, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion joined the discussion via Skype.

During the air, the presenter and the experts were looking for the answer to acute questions, whether the war hinders investment attractiveness hromadas; whether it is possible to consider self-sufficiency of AHs as an advantage for the economic development of the territory. Representatives of Luhansk Oblast Vadym Hayev, head of the Novopskovska AH, and Serhiy Siryk, head of the Bilokurakynska AH, shared the experience of hromada development.
