Vakulivska hromada purchased new motor scooters for starostas and paramedics

Motor scooters were purchased for paramedics and the starostas of the Vakulivska AH. According to Valentyn Reznichenko, head of Dnipropetrovsk OSA, the hromada received necessary funds due to the decentralisation reform.

"Amalgamation of territories into hromadas presupposes, above all, an increase in their budgets, and thus, new opportunities for the restoration of rural infrastructure and implementation of interesting projects," said Valentyn Reznichenko.

The Vakulivska AH consists of 18 villages with the total area of almost 300 square kilometres. Therefore, four new motor scooters are great support for both the starostas and paramedics.

"From now on it is not a problem to reach a patient even in the most remote village," – noted Artur Shevtsov, head of the Vakulivska AH. “Scooters require less fuel, besides, they are easier to operate than cars. And in general they are very convenient for the village."

Half of the funds for the purchase of motor scooters were allocated by the hromada, and the rest was provided by the oblast authorities.

"We help those ready to take responsibility. If the AH develops, the region as a whole will flourish as well," added the oblast head.
